Rachel Warren

Rachel leads the acquisition and investment activities of the business. Her focus is on maximising returns for our clients, partners and shareholders. This includes DML’s own equity participation in the re-development of residential and commercial schemes. Responsibilities include deal origination, executing new transactions, JV and corporate structuring, and the raising of debt & equity finance.

Over recent years, Rachel has grown DML’s track record in alternative living asset classes – particularly the student housing sector with the finance and delivery of PBSA schemes in Sheffield, Nottingham, Leicester and Aberdeen. This spans securing planning consent, design development & procurement, construction management and lettings. Our recent portfolio of 584 beds, delivered in partnership with Singapore equity fund Q Investment Partners, was successfully sold to a pan-European investment fund. She provides strategic advice to other developers in this sector as well as wider sales & marketing support for clients within prime residential markets.

Prior to joining DML in 2010, Rachel’s international development career background was at Crown Agents as Procurement Director responsible for a wide range of global infrastructure and housing projects financed by government and multilateral agencies.
