Shackleton House Croydon

25 September 2024

A major office-to-residential conversion is entering its final stages, set to deliver 169 new rental apartments to the market. The development will provide a mix of studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with a combination of affordable and market-rate units. In addition, the scheme includes essential amenities such as car and cycle parking spaces, catering to the needs of future residents.

DML is playing a critical role in the project's success, providing project cost and contract management services for the funder. As the development progresses through the final phase of construction, DML is working closely with the contractor and consultant teams to ensure the project meets key commercial, design, and programme milestones.

Through a collaborative approach, DML is helping to guide the delivery of this significant residential project, ensuring the highest standards are maintained while keeping the client’s vision and budget in focus. The project is set to make a positive contribution to the local housing market, addressing both affordability and demand.

On Monday 6th January 2025 DML Founder Kevin McGovern assumed the role of Chairman of DML.  Rory McGovern has been promoted to the role of Chief Executive. Rory will now lead the executive team made up of Matthew Dymott, Rachel Warren and Nilisha Patel.

Commenting on this change, Kevin McGovern said “Having founded DML 20 years ago it is now time to step away from day to day operational control and support the team in moving forwards.  It is a good time for DML in commencing 2025 with a number of prestigious projects across several sectors of the market.  I am sure the business will continue to grow and prosper.”
